Objective To investigate the status and Correlation between resilience and coping style among gastric cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy. Methods The Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) Chinese version and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ) were delivered to 136 stomach cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy to investigate their resilience and coping style. Results Stomach cancer patients who received postoperative chemotherapy generally had a low resilience score(56.66±10.95).Patients' resilience differed in age, medical payments and staging of disease (P<0.01).The resilience was significantly positively correlated with active coping style(r=0.672, P<0.01), while it was negatively correlated with negative coping style(r=-0.209,P<0.01).Conclusion Targeted strategies should be provided to stomach cancer patients for improving their resilience, so as to improve their coping style.
