摘要:
Approximately 850 million people worldwide suffer from chronic kidney disease (CKD), making it a significant global public health issue [1]. Currently, the primary treatment for CKD patients include conservative therapy, hemodialysis, peritoneal di5 alysis, and kidney transplantation, around 84% of CKD patients ultimately undergo hemodialysis, while 13% undergo peritoneal dialysis [2]. Due to metabolic abnormal7 ities and chronic inflammation, dialysis patients are at a high risk of developing sar8 copenia [3]. The European Working Group on Sarcopenia in Older Adults (EWGSOP) defines sarcopenia as a systemic, degenerative disease of the skeletal muscles that can lead to serious complications such as falls, fractures, and even death [4], which is a prevalent and severe nutritional disturbance among patients undergoing dialysis [5]. It is reported that the prevalence of sarcopenia in dialysis patients ranges from 28.5% to 73.7% [4, 6, 7], and accounts for 35% of annual deaths in the elderly [8]. This issue has attracted significant attention in the field of public health [9]. Therefore, it is im15 perative to help clinicians identify high-risk groups for sarcopenia at an early stage.
